About Mandy Payne

Mandy is a Sheffield based painter and printmaker interested in exploring the many different processes in her painting and printmaking.

Her work is inspired by landscape both rural and urban. Mandy’s rural pieces are usually concerned with the moors and woodlands of the Peak District whilst her urban work has most recently involved exploring Park Hill, the Grade II * listed Sheffield council estate.

Following a successful career in the NHS, in 2013 Mandy completed a BA Fine Art degree course at Nottingham University with first class honours and is today working as a full time artist.

Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Threadneedle Prize, Mall Galleries and she was recently a Prize Winner in the highly acclaimed John Moore’s Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
