Patrizio Belcampo

Patrizio Belcampo

Patrizio was born in Ravenna, Italy in 1979. In 2003 he moved to Edinburgh, where he became a member of Edinburgh Printmakers in 2005 and graduated in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art in 2011.

His work has been exhibited in various galleries in Edinburgh, including the Royal Scottish Academy, where he was awarded the Keith Prize for best work by a student in 2009 and the SSA’s Website Prize the following year. In 2010 he showed the series “Crash” (which are available to purchase from Beady Eye Art) as Edinburgh Printmakers’ Featured Artist.

Whether it receives its impulse from a text, an image or an artistic tradition, Patrizio’s work reveals an obstinate curiosity in exploring the relationships between living things and the material world around them.

About Marina Morris Fisher

Marina has a degree in Fine Art and Art History from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She then went on to work as a set decorator in the film industry for over 20 years.

Having moved from London to Devon seven years ago, she has once again resumed her first love and passion- painting.

Sometimes her work is an immediate and intuitive response to the strength of the natural environment; or more often evolving emotionally back in her studio, after times pent sketching, and the memories thereof – with strong gestures of marks and the spaces in between capturing sheer strength of nature and light in special, favourite locations.
